South Korean and U.S. Navy ships steam next to the U.S. Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS George Washington during an exercise off the Korean Peninsula, Oct. 3, 2013. The George Washington Carrier Strike Group is conducting exercises with the South Korean navy to strengthen maritime interoperability and the U.S.-South Korean alliance.
