Recall Summary

 

Name of Product: HEOS 1 Go Pack rechargeable battery packs 

 

Hazard: The battery can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazards

 

Remedy: Replace

 

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled battery packs and contact Denon for a free replacement battery pack, including shipping.

Description: This recall involves Denon’s HEOS 1 Go Pack lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs for wireless speakers. Only HEOS 1 Go Packs with a 10-character alpha-numeric serial number beginning with 5 or 601G91 and ending with 3517 through 4004 are included in the recall; the battery packs are black or white, hexagon-shaped and have four blue LED lights and a power button.  HEOS, the model and serial numbers are printed on the bottom.  Only the speaker battery is being recalled.

 

Incidents/Injuries: None reported

Sold at: Best Buy (Magnolia), Brookstone and online at BestBuy.com and Amazon.com from May 2015 through June 2016 for about $100.

Ferrara Candy Company has initiated a voluntary recall of Brach's® 5 ounce Almond Supremes with a best by date of 4/22/2017 after discovering that some Brach's® Almond Supremes packages may include Brach's® Bridge Mix, a product that contains peanuts and wheat. No other Ferrara Candy Company products are affected.

Mei Shun Noodle, Inc. of Chicago, IL, is recalling its 12 ounce packages of 6毛FIVE branded Rice Noodles. During inspection by the Illinois Department of Public Health, we found that some of the product was mislabeled. The products may contain dried, salted shrimp and soy, which are not included on the label.

Censea, Inc. Recalls Shrimp Product Because of Possible Health Risk

Censea, Inc. is recalling its A-PAC 8/12 count Headless Shell on Black Tiger Shrimp, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

CDC Press Release: CDC updates guidance for Wynwood (FL) neighborhood with active Zika transmission

Press Release   For Immediate Release Monday, September 19, 2016   Contact: CDC Media Relations (404) 639-3286     CDC updates guidance for Wynwood (FL) neighborhood with active Zika transmission   The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated guidance for people who travel to or live in the approximately 1-square-mile area in Wynwood, Florida, just north of downtown Miami. Previous guidance was put in place on August 1 after Florida and CDC epidemiologists determined that mosquitoes were actively spreading Zika virus in the area, resulting in infections among several local residents and visitors. No new cases of locally transmitted Zika have been reported in the Wynwood-designated area since early August, and low numbers of mosquitoes have been found in traps there for the past several weeks since aerial application of the larvicide Bti and the adulticide Naled.   CDC's update modifies the August 1 guidance ‎that advised pregnant women to avoid travel to the Wynwood-designated area. CDC's revised guidance for the Wynwood-designated area is that    Pregnant women and their partners living in or traveling to the area should follow steps to prevent mosquito bites. Pregnant women and partners of pregnant women who are concerned about potential Zika virus exposure may also consider postponing nonessential travel to all parts of Miami-Dade County.  Women and men who lived in or traveled to the area should be aware this location was considered an area of active Zika virus transmission from June 15 to September 18, 2016. Pregnant women should talk to their doctor or other healthcare provider about getting tested for Zika; and people who have a pregnant sex partner should consistently and correctly use condoms to prevent passing Zika during sex or they should not have sex during the pregnancy. Women and men who do not have signs or symptoms of Zika and who traveled to the area from June 15 to September 18 should wait at least 8 weeks before trying to get pregnant. Men who had signs or symptoms of Zika or were diagnosed with Zika and who traveled to the area from June 15 to September 18 should wait at least 6 months before trying to get their partner pregnant.
