WASHINGTON, D.C. - Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

 

Recall Summary

 

Name of Product:  USB car charger adapters, power adapters and 8-pin charger cables.

 

Hazard: Improperly mounted plug blades, and inadequate electronic circuitry create a fire and electrical shock hazard to consumers.

 

Remedy:  Refund

Recall Details

 

Units: About 2,500

 

Description: This recall involves Popkiller mini USB car charger power adapters, universal USB power adapters and 8-pin USB data sync charging cables. The car charger has model number HHT-001 located on the flat side of the charger below the USB port. The charger measures 2 inches tall and 1 inch in diameter at its widest point. The Universal USB Power adapter has model number A1265 printed directly above the plug blades on the grey surface. The adapter measures 1.5 inches at its longest point and 1 inch wide. There is no model number printed on the 8-pin USB charging cables. All of the recalled products are sold separately and come in the colors red, orange, green, blue, purple and pink.

 

Incidents/Injuries: None reported

 

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the phone accessories and return the product to a store where sold or send to Popkiller Headquarters for a full merchandise credit.

 

Sold at: Popkiller retail locations in Los Angeles and Costa Mesa, California, from June 2013 through April 2014 for about $4.50 to $6.50.

Name of Product:  GT downhill mountain bicycles

 

Hazard: The wheel hubs can break and cause the brake system to fail, posing crash and injury hazards to the consumer.

Recall Details

 

Units: About 120 in the U.S. and 32 in Canada

 

Description: This recall involves all 2014 GT Fury Expert and 2014 GT Fury Team downhill mountain bicycles. The recalled Fury Expert model is blue with red and white accents. The recalled Fury Team model is black with lime green and blue accents. The bicycles have front and rear disc brakes, rear shock absorbers and front suspension forks. "Fury" is printed on the top tube and the bottom of the chainstay, the GT logo is on the down tube and the top of the chainstay. The model names are printed in small letters on the top tube of the bicycles just above the word Fury.

 

Incidents/Injuries: Cycling Sports Group has received five reports of broken hubs. No injuries have been reported.

 

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the bicycles and return them to the nearest authorized GT dealer to have the complete front and rear wheels replaced free of charge.

 

Sold at: Authorized GT dealers from February 2014 to June 2014 for between $4,300 and $6,000.
