Recall Summary

 

Name of Product: Cordless electric lawn mowers

 

Hazard: The circuit board in the lawn mower can short circuit and catch fire, posing a fire hazard to users.

 

Remedy: Repair

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lawn mowers, remove the battery and contact Hongkong Sun Rise Trading for a free repair.

Description: 

This recall involves Kobalt and Greenworks brands of cordless electric walk-behind lawn mowers. The recalled lawn mowers have four wheels (two smaller ones in the front and two larger ones in the back), a 40-volt max lithium ion battery and a deck width of 20 inches. Both models have a large label on the rear bag door area with a serial number, model number and date code. The Kobalt brand mowers also have an item number on the label. “Kobalt” or “Greenworks” is printed on the side of the bag. The following models are included in the recall.

Incidents/Injuries: 
The firm has received 12 reported incidents with the recalled lawn mowers including 5 reports of fires. No injuries have been reported.

 

Sold at: Lowe’s and other retailers nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Lowes.com and other websites from May 2014 through July 2016 for about $350.

Hampton Farms is voluntarily recalling Ava's brand Organic Cashews Roasted & Salted 8 oz. tubs distributed in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. We have been notified by our cashew supplier that the cashews used have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. No confirmed illnesses have been reported to public health authorities to date.

Caverflo.com is voluntarily recalling all lots of Caverflo Natural Herbal Coffee, 25 grams to the consumer level. FDA laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of Sildenafil and Tadalafil which are the active ingredients in two FDA-approved prescription drugs used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). Caverflo.com has received a report of an individual death after use of the coffee. Caverflo Natural Herbal Coffee may also contain undeclared milk.

California Sun Dry Foods today issued a voluntary recall of California Sun Dry Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto because of a potentially incorrect back label on some jars. This mislabeling incident resulted in undeclared allergens (Almonds and Milk). People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts and milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Extech Recalls Digital Clamp Meters Due to Electrocution Hazard
 

Recall Summary

 

Name of Product: Digital clamp meters

 

Hazard: The meters can fail to give an accurate voltage reading, resulting in the operator falsely believing the electrical power is low or off, posing an electrocution hazard.

 

Remedy: Replace

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled digital clamp meters and contact Extech for a free replacement meter.

Recall Details

 

Units: 1,700 (in addition, about 20 were sold in Canada)

 

Description: 

This recall involves Extech digital clamp meters with model numbers EX650, EX655, MA160, MA61, and MA63. These models are all AC/DC clamp meters, which are electrical testing devices that measure AC/DC voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, temperature, continuity, and diode.  Serial numbers in the following format are included in the recall:  R15XXXXXXX to R17XXXXXXX. Only serial numbers in this range are included in the recall. The “EXTECH” logo and the model number are printed on the front of the unit and the serial number on the back. The digital clamp meters are green and orange.
 

Incidents/Injuries: 
Extech received two reports of clamp meters displaying an incorrect voltage reading.  No injuries have been reported.

 

Sold at: Grainger, Platt Electric Supply stores and industrial and electrical distributors and wholesalers nationwide and online at Amazon.com and other websites from January 2016 through April 2017 for between $110 and $230.

MusclMasster, LLC of Wheat Ridge, CO is recalling all bottles of Al-Er-G Capsules because they contain the presence of Ephedra Herb, an FDA banned ingredient. Dietary supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids pose a risk of serious adverse events, including heart attack, stroke, and death, and that these risks are unreasonable in light of any benefits that may result from the use of these products under their labeled conditions of use.

Hazard: Seat slider bolts and push nuts can disconnect and fall from the chair, which could cause the seat to detach from the chair, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

 

Remedy: Repair

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chairs and inspect the seat for looseness or a wobble and contact the firm for a free repair.
