  URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 3 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 1055 AM EST SAT JAN 1 2011  THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF          SOUTHERN ALABAMA        WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE        FAR SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI        COASTAL WATERS  EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY MORNING AND EVENING FROM 1055 AM UNTIL 600 PM EST.  TORNADOES...HAIL TO 0.5 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.  THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 55 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 65 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF CRESTVIEW FLORIDA TO 60 MILES WEST OF PENSACOLA FLORIDA.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE ASSOCIATED WATCH OUTLINE UPDATE (WOUS64 KWNS WOU3).  REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.  OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...CONTINUE...WW 2...   URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 2 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 310 AM CST SAT JAN 1 2011  THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF          WESTERN AND NORTHERN ALABAMA        SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA        SOUTHERN AND EASTERN MISSISSIPPI        COASTAL WATERS  EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY MORNING FROM 310 AM UNTIL 1000 AM CST.  TORNADOES...HAIL TO 0.5 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.  THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES NORTH OF GADSDEN ALABAMA TO 5 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF NEW ORLEANS LOUISIANA. REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. COUPLED WITH VERY MOIST ENVIRONMENT AND PRESENCE OF AMPLE LOW LVL SHEAR/LOW LVL CONFLUENCE...SETUP MAY CONTINUE TO POSE A RISK FOR ISOLD TORNADOES IN SRN TWO THIRDS OF WATCH.   URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 1 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 1045 PM CST FRI DEC 31 2010  THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF          PARTS OF WEST CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST ALABAMA        EXTREME NORTHEAST LOUISIANA        CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI  EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING FROM 1045 PM UNTIL 600 AM CST.  TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.  THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 65 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 50 MILES NORTHWEST OF NATCHEZ MISSISSIPPI TO 25 MILES NORTHEAST OF TUSCALOOSA ALABAMA.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE ASSOCIATED WATCH OUTLINE UPDATE (WOUS64 KWNS WOU1). DISCUSSION...A BAND OF SEVERE STORMS WILL LIKELY PERSIST OVERNIGHT AND SAG SEWD IN ASSOCIATION WITH CONVECTIVE OUTFLOW AND EWD PROGRESS OF THE SYNOPTIC COLD FRONT CROSSING THE MS RIVER.  A FEED OF 65-70 F BOUNDARY LAYER DEWPOINTS AND THE NEWD EXTENSION OF MIDLEVEL LAPSE RATES AOA 7 C/KM WILL MAINTAIN MUCAPE ON THE ORDER OF 500-1000 J/KG INTO WRN AL AND 1000-2000 J/KG INTO CENTRAL/SW MS OVERNIGHT.  VERTICAL SHEAR WILL REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR SUPERCELLS WITH AN ATTENDANT RISK FOR DAMAGING WINDS AND A COUPLE OF TORNADOES...ESPECIALLY IN CENTRAL MS WHERE THE STRONGER SURFACE-BASED INSTABILITY COINCIDES WITH THE ENHANCED SHEAR ALONG THE LLJ AXIS.
