Media Advisory Immediate Release: Thursday, June 20, 2013 Contact: Division of News & Electronic Media, Office of Communication (404) 639-3286 CDC advisory committee recommends an influenza vaccine option for persons with egg allergy The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted today, 13 to 0, in favor of recommending FluBlok during the 2013-2014 influenza seasons for vaccination of persons 18 through 49 years of age with egg allergy of any severity. FluBlok was licensed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in January 2013.
