Units: About 99,000
Description: This recall involves Vibe USB mobile power bars also known as portable USB power supply or portable chargers. The power bars were sold in black, white, blue, green, pink and purple. The rectangular-shaped power bars measure one square inch by three inches long and have a cord with key ring attached at the end. “Power Bank” is embossed on the face of the device. “Vibe” and “Power Bar” are printed on the front of the black packaging along with an image of the device in one of the six colors. Model number FB-Bar is printed below the UPC code on the bottom of the packaging.
Incidents/Injuries: DGL Group has received six reports of incidents involving melted parts, smoking, leaking batteries and fire resulting in reports of bursting power bars and minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled power bar, unplug it from the electrical outlet and return it to the DGL Group for a full refund and a $5 coupon towards another purchase at Five Below.
Sold exclusively at: Five Below stores nationwide from January 2014 to March 2014 for about $5.

Description: This recall involves 30-pint portable GE brand dehumidifiers. The dehumidifiers are white plastic and measure about 19 inches tall, 13 inches wide and 9 inches deep with a front-loading water bucket. “GE” and digital controls are located on top of the dehumidifier. Model, serial and manufacture dates are located on a label on the back of the dehumidifier. The model, serial and manufacture dates included in the recall are:

Incidents/Injuries: Midea and GE have received one report of a fire contained within the dehumidifier unit. No other property damage or injuries have been reported.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dehumidifiers, unplug them and contact Midea for instructions on returning their recalled dehumidifier for a free repair. Consumers should not return the recalled dehumidifiers to the retailer where purchased.
Sold exclusively at: Walmart stores nationwide from March 2010 to December 2010 for about $170.

IKEA Reannounces and Expands Recall of Children’s Wall-Mounted Lamps Due to Strangulation Hazard

Hazard: Children can get entangled in the electrical cord that hangs from the children’s wall-mounted lamps, posing a strangulation hazard.

Description: This recall involves IKEA children’s wall-mounted lamps sold in various style names, shapes and colors. The lamps have a cord, about 7 to 8 feet long with either a switch on the cord or a switch located on the lamp. The following lamp styles are included in the recall reannouncement and expansion.

Incidents/Injuries: A 15-month-old baby became entangled in the TASSA NATT lamp’s cord and nearly strangled. This incident, and the death of a 16-month-old baby who died after getting entangled in the SMILA lamp’s cord, were reported in the previous recall. In both incidents, which occurred in Europe, the lamp cord was pulled into the crib by the infants.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lamps, remove them from the wall and contact IKEA for a free repair kit. Do not use the lamp until the repair kit is installed. The repair kit has self-adhesive fasteners for attaching the lamp’s cord to the wall as well as safety instructions.
Sold exclusively at: IKEA stores nationwide, in IKEA’s catalog and online at www.ikea-usa.com from May 1984 to April 2014 for between $5 and $30.

FXR Factory Racing Recalls Children’s Outerwear Due to Strangulation Hazard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Recall Summary
Name of products: FXR Factory Racing Children’s jackets and hoodies
Hazard: Drawstrings can become entangled or caught on playground slides, hand rails, school bus doors or other moving objects, posing a significant strangulation and/or entanglement hazard to children. In February 1996, CPSC issued guidelines about drawstrings in children's upper outerwear. In 1997, those guidelines were incorporated into a voluntary standard. Then, in July 2011, based on the guidelines and voluntary standard, CPSC issued a federal regulation. CPSC's actions demonstrate a commitment to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on neck and waist drawstrings in upper outerwear, such as jackets and sweatshirts.

Description: This recall involves 11 styles of FXR child/youth outerwear jackets and hoodies for both boys and girls. They come in sizes 2 through 12. The jackets and hoodies are made of polyester or a blend of cotton/polyester and they have a front zip closure with knit elastic or Velcro adjustable cuffs. A drawstring is around the neck of the jackets and hoodies. The hoodies come in a variety of color combinations; such as red, purple, grey, red/black/white, green/black, and black. The jackets come in pink/white and in solid blue and pink. The name of the recalled product is located on the content care label which is sewn into the neck area of the garment. It can be found underneath the letters FXR.
