Bolton Furniture Recalls Dressers Due to Serious Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards
Recall Summary
Name of Product: Two Over Two 4-drawer dressers
Hazard: The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in death or injuries to children. The dressers do not comply with the performance requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM F2057-14).
Remedy: Repair
Consumers should immediately stop using any recalled dresser that is not properly anchored to the wall and place it into an area that children cannot access. Consumers should contact Bolton Furniture for a free retrofit kit. Consumers can install the retrofit kit or the tip-restraint strap sold with the dressers themselves, or contact Bolton who will provide a one-time, free in-home installation.

Description: This recall involves Bolton Furniture two over two style 4-drawer dressers. Models included in the recall are Cambridge 8614, Emma 8314, Essex 6614, Wakefield 8014 and Woodridge 8414. The dressers were sold in cherry, chestnut, espresso, honey, ivory, natural, and white. Model names and numbers can be found on the QC/production sticker located on back of the dresser.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported
Sold at: Full Line Furniture and children’s specialty stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Overstock.com, Target.com, ToysRUs.com, Wayfair.com, Zulilly.com and other online retailers from
February 2011 to October 2016 for about $700.

Description: This recall involves Hampton Bay Anselmo, Calabria, and Dana Point chairs as well as Martha Stewart Living branded Cardona, Grand Bank and Wellington swivel patio chairs. The chairs are made of aluminum and steel with a round swivel base and arm rests. The chairs were sold as a pair and as part of a seven-piece patio set with accompanying tables.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received 25 reports of the chairs breaking, resulting in bruising and scrapes from falls.
Sold exclusively at: Home Depot stores nationwide and online at HomeDepot.com from January 2007 to February 2016 for about $190 for two-piece patio set and $500 for a seven-piece patio set.

Description: This recall involves La-Z-Boy Kayla swivel dining and lounge patio chairs. The chairs are made of aluminum and steel with a round swivel base. The chairs have dark blue fabric covered cushions. La-Z-Boy is printed on a gold-colored tag on the back of the chairs. The chairs were sold in a four-piece lounge set and a five-piece dining set.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received 16 reports of the swivel chairs breaking. No injuries have been reported.
Sold exclusively at: Online at Sears.com from January 2016 through July 2016 for about $1,260 for the four-piece lounge set and $1,300 for the five-piece dining set.

Description: This recall involves allen + roth brand Safford model and Garden Treasures brand Lakeview model bar chairs sold in sets of four. The chairs have a brown, aluminum frame and a beige sling fabric cover. The 4-foot-tall chairs swivel 360 degrees and have arm rests on each side of the chair.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received 457 reports of the bar stool base breaking, resulting in ten reports of injury including head injuries, broken ribs, bruising and scrapes.

Recall Summary
Name of Product: Static ropes and throwlines
Hazard: The recalled static ropes and throwlines are mislabeled as being certified to specific voluntary NFPA safety standards and cannot be relied upon for any purpose, posing fall and injury hazards to users.
Remedy: Replace
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ropes and throwlines and contact Teufelberger for a free replacement.

Units: About 95
Description: This recall involves CMC and New England Ropes brand 7.5 mm and 8 mm static ropes and throwlines used for rescue operations. The recalled rope models are the CMC Escape Line 5/16”/8mm (orange with yellow tracer), New England Ropes Aramid 7.5mm (tan with black tracer) and New England Ropes KM-III 5/16”/8mm (white with blue tracer). The recalled throwline model is New England Ropes NFPA (yellow with red tracer). Only ropes and throwlines with lot numbers that begin with 160101 through 1609915 are included in this recall. The model name and lot number is printed on the end band label on the rope and on the product’s packaging. The ropes and throwlines were sold in lengths ranging from 150 to 2,400 feet.
