Djokovic Outmuscles Nadal to Win Men's Final at Wimbledon

Novak Djokovic of Serbia won the 2011 men's title at Wimbledon on Sunday, beating the defending champion, Rafael Nadal, in four sets.

Djokovic won the first two sets, 6-4 and 6-1; lost the third set, 1-6; and then took the fourth set, 6-3.

It was Nadal's first defeat at the All England Club in four years.

Until today, Djokovic, 24, who will become the new No. 1 on the ATP World Tour, had not beaten Nadal, a 25-year-old Spaniard, in a Grand Slam tournament. He had, however, beaten Nadal in all four of their previous meetings this year.

On Saturday, Petra Kvitova won her first Grand Slam title by beating Maria Sharapova 6-3, 6-4 in the women's final.
