Samantha Stosur Wins the U.S. Open Women's Title
Samantha Stosur defeated Serena Williams 6-2, 6-3, to win the 2011 U.S. Open women's title.
Stosur used her big serve and powerful forehand to defeat Williams in straight sets.
It was the first Grand Slam title for Stosur, who was seeded ninth in the tournament. Her previous best result had been a quarterfinals appearance in 2010.
