Notre Dame Advances to N.C.A.A. Women's Championship
Notre Dame secured an overtime victory over perennial women's basketball powerhouse Connecticut, winning 83-75 to send the Fighting Irish to the title game.
The result was a repeat of last year's national semifinal, when Notre Dame beat UConn to set up a showdown with the eventual champion, Texas A&M.
Natalie Novosel led No. 1-seeded Notre Dame with 19 points, and Devereaux Peters added 12 rebounds and 4 blocks.
