CDC has recently updated its iPad application to include a Disease of the Week feature. This new addition will allow users to explore a new topic each week to learn key facts and prevention tips, view images, and videos and take interactive quizzes to test what you've learned. Along with this new feature, the iPad application includes a variety of significant of information including CDC Health articles, CDC Vital Signs, CDC Preventing Chronic Disease Journal, MMWR, and CDC's Public Health Matters blog. Users are also able to connect with CDC's social media channels and listen to the extensive library of podcasts.

The iPad application can be downloaded from the iTunes app store.

Spotlight on CDC's Podcast Library

In order to reach a broader audience and deliver health information in a convenient format, CDC has produced podcasts on a variety of health topics. The extensive library of over 300 includes topics directed to clinicians, healthcare workers, public health practitioners, children, and the general public. Some of the topics are also available in Spanish. Of special interest this summer are the 30 second PSAs that are available on Hurricane Preparedness. CDC's podcasts and PSAs are available for CDC's public health partners to download, post to or link from their own websites and subscribe to a series.
