Crews, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment, aided the National Park Service by transporting equipment and supplies to the 7,200-foot level of the glacier to set up a base camp for climbers attempting Mount McKinley this summer. The operation also provided altitude training for soldiers assigned to the U.S. Army Alaska Aviation Task Force.
