CALIFORNIA DAY FIRE 08/05/2014 06:49 PM CDT Army Chief Warrant Officers 2 Dan Lowry and Scott Englebrick fly their LUH-72 Lakota helicopter to gather information on the Day Fire near Mount Shasta, Calif., Aug. 2, 2014, after California officials called up California Guardsmen to respond to wildfires in the northern part of the state. The pilots helped state workers assess how best to tackle the blaze.
