PUBLIC SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 1026 AM CST THU FEB 24 2011 ...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED OVER PARTS OF THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI AND TENNESSEE VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER IN NORMAN OK IS FORECASTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FEW STRONG TORNADOES OVER PARTS OF THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI AND TENNESSEE VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. THE AREAS MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDE NORTHWEST ALABAMA SOUTHERN AND EASTERN ARKANSAS SOUTHWEST KENTUCKY THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI WESTERN AND MIDDLE TENNESSEE ELSEWHERE...SEVERE STORMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE FROM EAST TEXAS AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA TODAY...EASTWARD TO EASTERN TENNESSEE AND KENTUCKY OVERNIGHT.
