 PUBLIC SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 1026 AM CST THU FEB 24 2011  ...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED OVER PARTS OF THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI AND TENNESSEE VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER IN NORMAN OK IS FORECASTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FEW STRONG TORNADOES OVER PARTS OF THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI AND TENNESSEE VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.  THE AREAS MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDE         NORTHWEST ALABAMA        SOUTHERN AND EASTERN ARKANSAS        SOUTHWEST KENTUCKY        THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL        NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI        WESTERN AND MIDDLE TENNESSEE  ELSEWHERE...SEVERE STORMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE FROM EAST TEXAS AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA TODAY...EASTWARD TO EASTERN TENNESSEE AND KENTUCKY OVERNIGHT.  AN UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM...AND AN ASSOCIATED SURFACE LOW PRESSURE CENTER AND COLD FRONT...WILL MOVE EASTWARD AND NORTHEASTWARD FROM TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA LATE THIS MORNING TO ARKANSAS THIS EVENING...AND THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS TENNESSEE AND KENTUCKY OVERNIGHT. IN ADVANCE OF THIS STORM...MOISTURE IS SPREADING NORTHWARD FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO TO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY.  THIS MOISTURE WILL FUEL SEVERE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHEAST TEXAS ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT AND SURFACE LOW PRESSURE CENTER...AND THE STORMS WILL INTENSIFY THROUGH THE EVENING WHILE SPREADING ACROSS ARKANSAS...WESTERN TENNESSEE...AND NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI.  THE ATMOSPHERE WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR STORMS TO PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS AND TORNADOES...AND A FEW STRONG/DAMAGING TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE LATER THIS AFTERNOON
