URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 18 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 1200 AM EST FRI FEB 25 2011 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN GEORGIA SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY EXTREME WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA EAST TENNESSEE EXTREME SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY MORNING FROM MIDNIGHT UNTIL 400 AM EST. HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES NORTHEAST OF LONDON KENTUCKY TO 30 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF ANNISTON ALABAMA.
