John Edwards Is Indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in Campaign Funds Case
A federal grand jury in North Carolina indicted John Edwards, the former Democratic senator and presidential candidate, over allegations that he used campaign funds to conceal an extramarital affair during his 2008 campaign for the White House.
The six-count indictment follows a two-year federal investigation of Mr. Edwards's political career.
