TRICARE Urges Beneficiaries to Prepare for Hurricane Season

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Every summer warm temperatures and rising humidity over the Atlantic Ocean create conditions for spawning the swirling storms called hurricanes. June begins the 2011 Atlantic hurricane season, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecasts an “above-normal” season.
