MESSENGER LINE

U.S. Marines heave a messenger line from the dock ship USS New York during a replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock in the Gulf of Aden, Aug. 20, 2012. The New York, part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation. The Marines are assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
