Smith, a radio supervisor, is assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 24, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The Marines are in Kuwait as part of the unit's sustainment training package, serving as a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force to support maritime security and theater security cooperations.
