Staff Sergeant Giunta will receive the Medal of Honor for his courageous actions during combat operations against an armed enemy in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan in October 2007. Staff Sergeant Giunta's wife, Jennifer, and his parents, Steven and Rosemary Giunta, will join the President and the First Lady in the East Room to commemorate his example of selfless service.
