  URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 740 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 505 AM EST TUE NOV 16 2010  THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF          FLORIDA PANHANDLE        FAR SOUTHWEST GEORGIA        COASTAL WATERS  EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY MORNING FROM 505 AM UNTIL 1100 AM EST.  TORNADOES...HAIL TO 0.5 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.  THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 45 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES WEST OF PANAMA CITY FLORIDA TO 50 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF TALLAHASSEE FLORIDA. REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.  DISCUSSION...QLCS OVER THE SHELF WATERS OF THE N-CNTRL GULF OF MEXICO IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE NEWD THIS MORNING...AFFECTING PORTIONS OF THE FL PNHDL.  LATEST TRENDS IN AREA VWP DATA AND SHORT TERM MODEL GUIDANCE INDICATE THAT LLJ WILL CONTINUE TO UNDERGO MARKED INTENSIFICATION THROUGH MID MORNING...EFFECTIVELY ENHANCING THE NWD FLUX OF AN INCREASINGLY MOIST AND UNSTABLE BOUNDARY LAYER ONSHORE.  GIVEN THE STRENGTHENING VERTICAL SHEAR...BOWING AND SUPERCELL STRUCTURES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITHIN QLCS...WITH A THREAT FOR DOWNSTREAM DEVELOPMENT OF MORE DISCRETE SUPERCELLS.  DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND A COUPLE OF TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE AS ACTIVITY PROGRESSES ACROSS WW AREA.  AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 0.5 INCH.
