URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 41 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 625 PM EST SUN MAR 6 2011 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA SOUTHEASTERN VIRGINIA COASTAL WATERS EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY EVENING FROM 625 PM UNTIL 1100 PM EST. TORNADOES...HAIL TO 0.5 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 65 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 55 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 50 MILES NORTHWEST OF NORFOLK VIRGINIA TO 50 MILES EAST OF GOLDSBORO NORTH CAROLINA.
