URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 46 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 725 AM CST WED MAR 9 2011 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN ALABAMA WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE EXTREME SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA EXTREME SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI COASTAL WATERS EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING FROM 725 AM UNTIL NOON CST. TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF BOOTHVILLE LOUISIANA TO 25 MILES NORTHEAST OF CRESTVIEW FLORIDA. REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.
