  URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 46 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 725 AM CST WED MAR 9 2011  THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF          SOUTHERN ALABAMA        WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE        EXTREME SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA        EXTREME SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI        COASTAL WATERS  EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING FROM 725 AM UNTIL NOON CST.  TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.  THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF BOOTHVILLE LOUISIANA TO 25 MILES NORTHEAST OF CRESTVIEW FLORIDA.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE ASSOCIATED WATCH OUTLINE UPDATE (WOUS64 KWNS WOU6).  REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.  OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...CONTINUE...WW 45...  DISCUSSION...LINE OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WITH EMBEDDED BOWS AND SUPERCELLS WILL PROGRESS EASTWARD ACROSS THE WATCH AREA THIS MORNING. ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.  A TRANSITION TO A MORE WIDESPREAD WIND DAMAGE THREAT IS EXPECTED BY MID MORNING.
