  URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 45 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 240 AM CST WED MAR 9 2011  THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF          SOUTHWEST ALABAMA        SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA        SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI  EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING FROM 240 AM UNTIL 800 AM CST.  TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.  THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 95 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 60 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF MC COMB MISSISSIPPI TO 55 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF PINE BELT MISSISSIPPI.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE ASSOCIATED WATCH OUTLINE UPDATE (WOUS64 KWNS WOU5).  REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.  OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...CONTINUE...WW 44...  DISCUSSION...CLUSTERS/LINES OF STRONG-SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK EASTWARD ACROSS THE WATCH AREA THROUGH THE MORNING.  SHEAR PROFILES ARE QUITE STRONG AND FAVOR SUPERCELL STORMS CAPABLE OF DAMAGING WINDS AND TORNADOES.  IF ANY DISCRETE CONVECTION CAN FORM IN THE WARM SECTOR...THEY WOULD POSE THE GREATEST TORNADO THREAT.  AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 1 INCH.
