URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 25 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 940 PM CST SUN FEB 27 2011 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST MISSOURI EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING FROM 940 PM UNTIL 400 AM CST. TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 80 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 10 MILES WEST OF FORT LEONARD WOOD MISSOURI TO 45 MILES EAST OF MOUNT VERNON ILLINOIS.
