URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 34 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 505 PM EST MON FEB 28 2011 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 505 PM UNTIL 1000 PM EST. HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF RALEIGH NORTH CAROLINA TO 15 MILES WEST OF MACON GEORGIA.
