  URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 737 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 830 PM EDT WED OCT 27 2010  THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF          EXTREME EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA        CENTRAL AND EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA        CENTRAL AND EASTERN SOUTH CAROLINA        COASTAL WATERS  EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 830 PM UNTIL 200 AM EDT.  TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.  THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 85 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 5 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF ROANOKE RAPIDS NORTH CAROLINA TO 30 MILES SOUTH OF COLUMBIA SOUTH CAROLINA. REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.  OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...THIS TORNADO WATCH REPLACES TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 735. WATCH NUMBER 735 WILL NOT BE IN EFFECT AFTER 830 PM EDT. CONTINUE...WW 736...  DISCUSSION...THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO CENTRAL PARTS OF THE CAROLINAS ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST INTO TONIGHT AS THEY MOVE INTO MOIST AND UNSTABLE ENVIRONMENT. THEY ARE OCCURRING ALONG SRN EDGE OF STRONGER MID/UPPER FLOW ASSOCIATED WITH THE INTENSE UPPER LOW NORTH OF LAKE SUPERIOR. DEEP LAYER SHEAR OVER THE AREA REMAINS FAVORABLE FOR SUPERCELLS...AND A STRENGTHENING LOW LEVEL JET WILL INCREASE LOW LEVEL SHEAR AND SRH /SEE CURRENT KCAE VWP/.  THIS WILL MAINTAIN A THREAT FOR SEVERE STORMS AND A FEW TORNADOES INTO TONIGHT.  AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 1 INCH.
