URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 727 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 220 PM EDT TUE OCT 26 2010 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN GEORGIA FAR WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA EASTERN TENNESSEE FAR WESTERN VIRGINIA EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 220 PM UNTIL 1000 PM EDT. TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF CHATTANOOGA TENNESSEE TO 55 MILES NORTH OF BRISTOL TENNESSEE.
