URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 736 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 745 PM EDT WED OCT 27 2010 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND EXTREME NORTHERN NORTH CAROLINA SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST VIRGINIA COASTAL WATERS EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 745 PM UNTIL 200 AM EDT. TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 90 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 15 MILES SOUTH OF SOUTH HILL VIRGINIA TO 20 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF PATUXENT RIVER MARYLAND.
